Pastoral Supervision is a reflective, praxis-based, planned, regular, intentional, boundaried relationship where a skilled practitioner (supervisor) meets regularly with another Practitioner(s) supervisee(s) as they explore ministry/work in a spiritual and theologically rich relationship. The relationship is characterized by open, trusting, confidential and safe supporting environment. It is psychosocially informed and culturally sensitive, considering individual worldview and peculiar situation.
It is pastoral because it conforms to the standard of the Scripture, considering a balance between belief and practices within the biblical tradition. It focuses on the intersection between belief and practical lifestyle as it seeks an integration in ministry and practical daily living.
