Statement of Faith

At wholistic support practices our services are founded on the biblical principles. We believe that Jesus is the Great Counsellor who grants us the wisdom through the Holy Spirit according to Isaiah 11:1-5

Our statement of faith is in line with the Apostles Creed which states:

We believe in God the Father Almighty;
Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary;
Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried;
He descended into hell, the third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead;
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy Catholic Church;
The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins;
The resurrection of the body;
Life everlasting. Amen.”

Based on the Creed we believe in the authority of the

Triune God

In one God who is Triune in nature- Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:16-20. We believe that God’s power is at work in our community and services. We seek to depend on the power and leading of God through our services (Proverbs 3:5-6)

The Holy Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. That God makes himself known through his special and general revelation. While we observe God through general knowledge, such knowledge is subject to sound biblical interpretation. The Scripture is therefore to us the rule of our faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Salvation by Grace in Christ

We believe that Salvation is only by grace through the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. That he died for our sins, rose to give life to all who place their faith in him. We believe that God is just in his works whereby Jesus paid for our sins but it is applied when we come to Christ for salvation and forgiveness by faith. We believe in eternity with God through Christ alone (John 1:12-13).

Fellowship of Believers

We believe that fellowship in the community is founded on the truth of God’s love and commitment to one another in his name. That honesty and sincerity, openness and truth are the bedrock of Christian fellowship. Support groups build each other up in fellowship and love of Christ (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
